Gophers Set to Welcome Back Fox in Men's Basketball
Local Recruit Fox Returns to the Gophers
Former Gophers commit Pharrel Fox is set to return to the University of Minnesota for the upcoming season. Fox, a 6'7" forward from Minneapolis, was one of the top recruits in the state of Minnesota in the 2022 class.
Return to the Gophers
Fox originally committed to the Gophers in 2021, but he reopened his recruitment after the firing of head coach Richard Pitino. He eventually signed with Creighton, but he asked for his release after the school hired Greg McDermott as its new head coach.
Fox will be a welcome addition to the Gophers, who are looking to bounce back from a disappointing season. The Gophers finished 13-14 last year, and they missed the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season.
Fox is a versatile forward who can score inside and out. He is also a good rebounder and defender. He is expected to be a key contributor for the Gophers this season.
