New Software Update Enhances EV Charger Insight
Rivian is releasing a new software update that will provide customers with improved information on electric vehicle (EV) chargers. The update will include:
- Enhanced charger mapping and search functionality
- Real-time availability and charging speed information
- User-generated reviews and ratings
Rivian VP of Software Wassym Bensaid says the update is part of the company's commitment to providing customers with the best possible charging experience. "We want to make it as easy as possible for our customers to find and use chargers that meet their needs," Bensaid said. "This update is a significant step in that direction."
Quick Controls Replaces Vehicle App
The update also introduces a new "quick controls" feature that replaces the previous Vehicle app. Quick controls provides easy access to key vehicle settings and features, including:
- Lock/unlock doors
- Start/stop charging
- Adjust climate control
- Navigate to destinations
